Opal P. Lee, a stalwart in the business of law. Passionate about people’s success and relentless in the pursuit of justice, Opal is a staunch advocate for her clients. Her no-nonsense, get the job done approach compliments her personality, in that, she believes only the best is good enough.
Opal was born in Kingston, Jamaica, from a humble beginning. Humility and determined leadership stand at the forefront of her principles. As founder of FloJam Legal, her many positive attributes undoubtedly serve as the foundation for the firm’s ongoing success.
EDUCATION
- Opal earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
- She later went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Florida International University College of Law.
- She also earned a Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School.
- While in law school, Opal was a member of the law school’s Board of Advocates and represented FIU College of Law at the Wechsler National First Amendment Moot Court Competition. Additionally, she interned at the Broward State Attorney’s Office County Court Division where she gained experience prosecuting county court misdemeanor cases on behalf of the State of Florida.
During Opal’s education and training, her astute senses were heightened as she recognized the overbearing need for a diversified society. The evident need, coupled with the fact she is also an immigrant, fueled her interest in immigration law; she is determined to achieve justice for all including immigrants. Opal believes in passionately advocating and being the voice of those who are hurting or emotionally distraught, hence one of her other primary practice areas is family law.
EXPERIENCE
Opal has been passionately practicing law since 2006. She has over 15 years of experience and practices primarily in the areas of family law, immigration and personal injury.
COMMUNITY LIAISON
Opal is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA) and the Broward County Women Lawyer’s Association. She also participates in various community outreach programs.
Opal may be heard each Monday morning on Nationwide 90FM Jamaica addressing United States immigration issues and on Saturday evenings on WZOP/WZPP/WHOT Radio in Florida addressing various legal issues. Both programs are broadcasted globally.
HOBBIES
When she is not passionately representing her clients, Opal enjoys traveling. She also enjoys track and field, reading, cycling, yoga, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Opal is licensed to practice law in Florida State Courts and The United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida; she is also licensed to practice law in the island of Jamaica.
